Job Summary
We are looking for Direct Care Professionals to join our team! You work directly with clients to enrich and enhance their daily lives. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care, but by building genuine relationships with individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioral health, overall healthcare needs. Care is provided in private residential home settings. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy safe environment that meets our clients' needs. Strong Verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior experience is preferred.
Specific Duties
Provide direct care to clients with intellectual disabilities and specialized care in daily living, social, and recreational activities
Provide support and assistance to foster maximum independence of individuals
Ensure the safety and well-being of clients
Assist and encourage clients to engage in various activities in the home and community
Observe clients' behaviors and changes in physical condition and utilize determined strategies to assist the client
Maintain records of client care, condition, progress, or problems and discuss observations with supervisor
Administer medications (as prescribed) and transport clients to appointments, day programs, job and/or volunteer sites
Assist in housekeeping and cleaning duties
Adhere to County and State Regulations
Qualifications
Minimum of 18 years of age required
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate degree preferred
Prior experience working directly with individuals with developmental disabilities (preferred but not required)
Valid Driver’s license required
Successfully pass background check required
