Do you have experience with Direct Care and a Recreational Therapy degree along with being passionate about delivering the best 1:1 care possible? We are seeking a caring and dependable person to support a young lady with special health care needs. This position would be provided in family’s private residence, as well as in the community (Northeast Philadelphia area) on occasion. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday from 3 pm to 8 pm, occasional PRN on weekends. Must have a current CNA or Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Education, Social Work, or Recreational Therapy

Job Duties and Responsibilities: · Sometimes, join parent(s) on medical visits · Understands seizures and learn how it impacts individual. Recognize the different types of seizures and when rescue meds are necessary. · Monitor skin integrity and skin care · Experience with positioning, stretching, and following current therapy orders · Monitor and document oxygen levels and blood pressure · Monitor proper hydration · Responsible for all documentation · Assist with changing disposable briefs, bathroom hygiene regime, and showering · Meal preparation (pureed food experience, necessary)
Requirements: · Able to lift 50 lbs. · Ceiling glide experience, necessary · Experience with nebulizer, suction machine and if needed, the oxygen machine
