Job Summary
Our Agency provides interventions that are designed to support symptom reduction and/or sustain symptom stability at the lowest possible levels, increase the individual’s ability to cope and relate to others, support and sustain recovery, and enhance the client’s capacity to function in an inclusive setting or to be maintained in community-based programs.
PURPOSE OF POSITION The Direct Care staff will provide psycho-educational activities to clients in a residential treatment facility setting. Activities include social skills training, management and monitoring of behavioral point systems, behavioral contracting, contract resolution and skill training, anticipatory guidance, life space interviewing, and personal care instruction.
Responsibilities
Assist clients by implementing interventions outlined in the Person-Centered Plan
Development of skills and replacement behaviors which can be practiced, applied, and continually addressed with treatment in a therapeutic and educational environment
Identification and self-management of symptoms/behaviors
Development/improvement of social and relational skills
Document client intervention and behaviors
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
Driver’s License (Required)
Previous experience as a Direct Care Staff or in a similar position is preferred
Ability to manage multiple projects or tasks and prioritize appropriately
Excellent interpersonal skills and high level of compassion
Strong verbal and written communication skills
