Job Summary: We are currently hiring Direct Care Support Staff to provide essential support in various capacities, including: companion care, respite, personal supports, supported living, supported employment, pre-vocational training, and transportation services. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct care and assistance to individuals with disabilities in daily living activities.
Support clients in personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
Engage clients in social, recreational, and community activities to enhance their quality of life.
Assist with transportation to appointments, work, and community events.
Collaborate with team members and families to implement individualized care plans.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of services provided.
Complete required trainings to ensure compliance with agency standards.
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Minimum of one year of experience in a medical, psychiatric, nursing, or child-care setting, or working with individuals who have developmental disabilities.
College, vocational, or technical training equivalent to 30 semester hours, 45 quarter hours, or 720 classroom hours may substitute for required experience.
Ability to pass a Level II background screening.
Complete Required Trainings
Current CPR and First Aid certification.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
