    Job Title: Caregiver / Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Driver

    Locations: Tracy and Lathrop, California – PT, On-Call, and Full-Time Available

    We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to provide direct support and care for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will assist individuals in their daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their well-being through companionship, supervision, and engagement in community-based services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Assist individuals with daily living activities, including meal preparation, personal care, and housekeeping, while maintaining line-of-sight supervision.

    Provide companionship, problem-solving support, and engage in meaningful interactions with individuals.

    Administer medications and document dispensing per guidelines.

    Transport and accompany individuals to medical, dental, and community appointments, ensuring safety and timely attendance.

    Transport individuals to activities and events; provide route transportation services.

    Document daily progress notes and other required paperwork for individual records.

    Support and facilitate participation in hobbies, studies, and social/recreational activities.

    Respond promptly to emergencies and report changes in individuals' health or status to the appropriate personnel.

    Assist in maintaining individuals' health equipment and ensure that safety protocols are followed in all environments.

    Demonstrate strong teamwork by collaborating with staff and following all organization policies and codes of ethics.

    Additional Duties:

    Read, write, and follow written and verbal directions.

    Provide supportive listening and companionship to individuals.

    Facilitate community outings, ensuring safety and proper supervision at all times.

    Ensure compliance with all safety standards and company policies.

    Schedules Available:

    Full-Time, Part-Time, and On-Call positions.

    Weekday and weekend shifts available.

    Qualifications:

    Experience: Minimum of 1 year of caregiving (preferred). Strong preference for DSP Year I or DSP Year II certification. Must obtain DSP I Certification within one year of hire and DSP II within two years.

    CPR/First Aid: Active certification required (re-certification provided every two years).

    Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.

    Driving: 3 years of a Valid California Driver’s License/ID and 3 years of a Clean Driving Record (if applicable). Must provide and maintain a valid Driver's License, proof of insurance, and a clean driving record. Must be comfortable driving company vehicles and transporting individuals to various locations.

    Licenses & Requirements:

    Must pass a health screening, TB test, and criminal background fingerprint clearance (REQUIRED).

    Must have or obtain a DSP I certification within one year of hire and DSP II within two years.

    Must maintain all required continuing education units and certificates, including MABPro training and refreshers every two years.

    Physical Requirements:

    Ability to walk for extended periods of time and occasionally run, kneel, crouch, or reach above head as needed.

    Able to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with individual transfers up to 75 lbs.

    Quick, responsive physical movement required during emergency situations.

    Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and perform physical tasks such as bending and carrying.

    Additional Requirements:

    Must be 18 years or older.

    Must be eligible to work legally in the U.S.

    Must maintain regular attendance and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.

    Must demonstrate strong communication and writing skills, as well as professionalism in stressful situations.
