Job Title: Direct Support Professional
Job Requirement: DSP I and/or II training, cleared fingerprints, physical and TB test, CPR and 1st Aid
Job Description: As a DSP I or II you are providing direct care to all residents. This can include but isn’t limited to:
Supervision or hands on assistance with hygiene: teeth brushing, hair washing, bathing, dressing, nail care
Screen residents, visitors and staff as required for COVID 19. Notify owner or Medical Coordinator if individual is symptomatic. Work with residents to follow COVID 19 safety procedures.
Medication assistance/dispensing, packing medication
Transporting residents in company cars as assigned
Providing 1st aid and summoning medical attention
Laundry, housekeeping/cleaning
Professional interactions with resident jobs/programs and families
Meal Service
Tidying of resident’s personal space and belongings
Providing direct care to and engaging with residents in a respectful, caring manner at all times
Scheduling/canceling transportation
Completing assigned training as directed by your supervisor by required deadline
Other duties as requested by your supervisor.
