Position : Part-Time Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Key Responsibilities :
- Transport Services : Safely transport passengers to and from various locations.
- Passenger Assistance : Help passengers with boarding and exiting the vehicle, ensure they are securely seated, and provide assistance with mobility aids such as wheelchairs, walkers, and canes.
- Safety Compliance : Follow all traffic laws, transportation regulations, and safety protocols to ensure passenger well-being.
- Vehicle Maintenance : Perform regular vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to keep the vehicle in good working condition. Report any issues promptly.
- Scheduling and Timeliness : Adhere to designated routes and schedules, ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of passengers.
- Customer Service : Provide excellent customer service, maintaining a friendly and respectful demeanor with all passengers and their caregivers.
- Record Keeping : Keep accurate records of trip details, including mileage, passenger information, and any incidents or delays.
Qualifications :
Experience : Previous experience in transportation or driving roles is preferred, especially in serving individuals with disabilities.
License : Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Skills : Strong driving skills, familiarity with adaptive driving equipment, and basic vehicle maintenance knowledge.
Physical Requirements : Ability to assist passengers with mobility challenges, including lifting and securing wheelchairs.
Interpersonal Skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and patient approach.
Background Check : Successful completion of a background check.
