Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA)/ Personal Care Assistants (PCA)/ Direct Support Professionals (DSP)/ Caregiver Staff: Assist clients with activities of daily living that are essential to safety and comfort in the client’s home. CNAs/ PCAs/ DSPs/ Caregivers must be W2 employees and are not allowed to work as contractors per DCH/ HFRD regulations.
Direct support staff provide in-home Personal Care Services and Companion Care Services to individuals with various types of disabilities.
Direct Support Staff are also referred to as Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA), Personal Care Assistants (PCA), Direct Support Professionals (DSP)/ Caregiver Staff. Staff must be W2 employees.
Performing Personal Care Services or “Hands on services” and Companion/ Sitter Services for elderly, ill, physically disabled, intellectually & developmentally disable, and recuperating clients, for example:
Assistance with activities of daily living like bathing, toileting, grooming, shaving, dental care, dressing, and eating
Ambulation, transfers, and repositioning of clients, Hoyer lift, preventing falls
Basic first aid and CPR
Caring for clients with special conditions and needs so long as the services are within the scope of the tasks authorized to be performed
Home Management and administrative task
Home safety and risk mitigation
Sanitation and Infection control in the home
Medically related activities to include the taking of vital signs and medication reminders
Understanding the needs and characteristics of elderly, physically disabled, and intellectually disabled individuals
Meal planning, preparation, and proper nutrition
Transportation/ escorting services/ Running Errands
Emergency Preparedness (medical and environmental)
Conflict Resolution and professionalism
Abuse, Fraud, Neglect, and Waste
Skin Integrity

The following is required in order to qualify for a Caregiver position with Thrive Healthcare, LLC:
Be licensed as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of GA or have a Personal Care Assistant (PCA) certification with GACCP (which is recognized a suitable training program per state regulations and DCH)
Positive previous work experience verified by providing a 5 years employment history/ or complete employment history if person has not been employed 5 years
Pass a criminal background check
Submit to random drug screening
Have no history of abuse or neglect
Current CPR/ First Aid Certification
Negative TB Skin test results
Provide a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for 3 Years
Personal Vehicle/ dependable transportation with proof of insurance
Demonstrate normal comprehension and literacy in written assessment
Quality driven individual
Courteous and kind demeanor
Interactive/ engaging personality
No physical restrictions that will interfere with carrying out job duties listed above
(As a CNA, you will spend much of your time on your feet. Additionally, you must be able to lift at least 50 pounds.)
Wear suitable uniform: Clean neat scrubs, short fingernails, athletic shoes, not bedtime head wear, etc. (Additional requirements left to the discretion of management)
