Direct Support Professional

If so, then we encourage you to apply for a Direct Support Professional (DSP) position with the Fort Monmouth Day Program!
Our DSPs provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a variety of settings in the community and our facility.
We are looking for individuals who are patient, understanding, and have a passion for helping others. Our primary focus is to engage all program participants and help them develop skills for everyday living.
Responsibilities:
Assist individuals with daily living activities,
Provide transportation to and from activities.
Assist in the development and implementation of individualized support plans.
Advocate for the rights of individuals with disabilities.
Maintain a safe and clean living environment.
Qualifications:
High school diploma with qualifying experience
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
Must be able to pass a background check/Drug Screen
