Job Summary
We are looking for a Direct Support Professional to join our team! You will be directly working with individuals who have intellectual disabilities and or autism, following a one-on-one care plan in the individuals homes and or community. You operate with a big heart, not only providing personalized and attentive care but by building genuine relationships with those you serve. You are detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to creating a healthy environment that meets individuals needs. Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed to succeed in this role. Prior experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities/Autism are recommended.
Responsibilities
Assist individuals with daily activities such as shopping in the community, budgeting, meal prep, transportation to appointments
Maintain records of individual care, condition, progress, or problems to report and discuss observations with the supervisor
Build relationships with individuals by teaching functional skills
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
One year prior professional experience
Driver’s license required
Pass PA criminal background check
