As a Peer Mentor and Support Service Professional, you will play a vital role in assisting a young man on the Autistic spectrum in his daily activities. Your support will encompass various settings, including the job site, his apartment, and occasional recreational outings. Your primary focus will be providing companionship, supportive listening, and mentorship to enhance his quality of life.
Responsibilities:
Provide companionship and supportive listening
Assist with daily activities at the job site, home, and recreational outings
Track data and daily service notes accurately
Transport the client to and from work
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Education, Special Education, Counseling, Social Work, Gerontology, or an RBT
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals with Autism
Demonstrated understanding of Autism and developmental disabilities
Familiarity with Person-Centered approach to care and positive behavior support
Dependable, autonomous, adaptable, flexible, and innovative
Ability to work with little direction and handle tasks requiring creativity
Additional Information:
Mileage reimbursement provided
Consistent hours and days, Monday-Friday 8:30am-1:30pm
