    Set in the historic Washington Education Center building at the base of the 40th Street Bridge, TRYP Pittsburgh | Lawrenceville is a boutique neighborhood hotel located in the center of what TIME and Money Magazines named “The Coolest Neighborhood in America.” Steeped in neighborhood history and adorned with local art, the 108-room hotel is home to two restaurants, a coffee bar, spectacular rooftop city and neighborhood views, and two distinct event spaces for celebrations and events. We're searching for a director of sales who is motivated to help our busy hotel meet its sales targets. You will be in charge of developing our sales strategy and revenue objectives, training and assessing our sales employees, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business across various hotel sectors. Responsibilities: • Formulate sales strategies that sustain high levels of occupancy and profitability in collaboration with department managers and their goals • Design a strategy to meet hotel financial goals, create marketing deliverables, and develop an annual sales forecast by analyzing market data • Establish strategies to assist the sales team in meeting and exceeding monthly room booking goals that are aligned with overall hotel and revenue management objectives • Solicit new guests with targeted outbound sales initiatives, such as personal calls to your network and phone solicitations to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups that will generate new revenue • Report on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenditures Qualifications: • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office • Prior experience of 5+ years as a sales professional in a related field is required • Displays a proven track record of sales success by lead-generation and closing • Exemplary communication skills, leadership skills, and analytical skills • We prefer someone with prior hospitality experience but is not required
