    A well-established Home Care agency is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead our clinical team and ensure the highest standards of care for our clients. This role is essential in managing nursing operations, maintaining regulatory compliance, and supporting caregivers in delivering exceptional home care services. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, extensive clinical experience in geriatric care, and an understanding of the business side of the home care industry. There is an opportunity for this role to transition into an Executive Director position, making business acumen a valuable asset.

    Position Overview:

    As the Director of Nursing, you will oversee all clinical aspects of home care operations, including client assessments, caregiver supervision, regulatory compliance, and quality assurance. You will work closely with the administrative team to optimize processes, support business growth, and ensure the agency meets the highest standards of patient care. This full-time role requires travel between offices and client homes, with a mileage reimbursement or travel stipend provided.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Lead and manage the nursing team to ensure the delivery of high-quality home care services.

    • Develop and implement policies and procedures in compliance with state and federal regulations.

    • Perform in-home client assessments and create individualized care plans.

    • Supervise home health aides and nursing staff, providing guidance and support.

    • Conduct quality assurance visits and ensure proper documentation in compliance with regulations.

    • Collaborate with the administrative team to drive operational efficiency and business growth.

    • Ensure proper use of Wellsky EMR and maintain accurate client records (experience preferred but not required).

    • Participate in on-call rotations and provide clinical oversight as needed.

    • Engage in recruitment, training, and professional development of nursing staff.

    • Work towards a future transition into an Executive Director role by gaining an in-depth understanding of business operations and financial management in home care.

    Qualifications:

    • Active RN license in the state of New Jersey.

    • Geriatric care experience required.

    • Proven leadership experience in a home care or healthcare setting.

    • Strong knowledge of home care regulations, policies, and best practices.

    • Business acumen and a strong understanding of home care operations is a plus.

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records systems.

    • Ability to travel regularly within Essex, Morris, and Union Counties.

    • Reliable transportation.

    Compensation & Schedule:

    • Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 per year (DOE)

    • Full-time position

    • Mileage reimbursement or travel stipend provided
