    We're on the lookout for a director of sales committed to helping our hotel meet its sales goals. You will be responsible for designing our sales strategy and revenue targets, training and evaluating our sales personnel, and ensuring that we generate new and recurring business through various areas of revenue. Responsibilities: • Boost revenue and increase new guest visits through strategic outbound sales efforts that may include phone solicitation to local professionals, corporations, and members of your personal network • Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast • Coordination with the management team and department heads in designing and implementing sales strategies to achieve high occupancy and profitability • Implement a strategic plan that aligns with revenue management and hotel objectives to assist the sales staff in meeting and exceeding room booking goals • Deliver previous and upcoming week's sales activity reports, as well as monthly sales expense reports, and meet with department managers to keep them up to date on all hotel sales-related expenses • Perform robust sales and marketing efforts that result in signed contracts, group bookings, and volume accounts • Maintain accurate statistics on sales activities and results. Provide detailed reports to the general manager as required • Manage database of prospects, leads, and clients with accuracy and completion. • Ensure sales revenue targets are met • Ensure all decisions are made in the best interest of the hotel, and management • Attend local Chamber, CVB, and other events to promote hotel opening Qualifications: • Displays a proven track record of sales success by lead-generation and closing • Prior experience of 5+ years as a sales professional in a related field is required • Must be able to use basic computer software including Microsoft Office • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field • Must have prior experience in hospitality sales as a sales manager or director of sales familiar with all market segments, and have thorough knowledge of the sales process • Must have a professional demeanor, good work initiative and habits, be organized, and be flexible • Must be able to create and implement a sales and marketing plan • Previous hospitality director of sales experience preferred • Ideal applicants will be fluent in English and Spanish • Must have catering experience • The ideal applicant will have Marriott experience This position will not offer relocation assistance. Compensation: $115,000 annually
