We are reopening The Faust Hotel, with completely remodeled and re-imagined guest rooms, an exquisite new restaurant, and specialty spaces such as two patios, a private whiskey room, and an event space. The right candidate for this opportunity can both build out the role (with lots of support) and book future business for Rooms and Food, and Beverage. With an expected opening of Fall of 2025, this role will be selling heavily into 2026 and then taking advantage of short term opportunities after our opening is more specifically designed. We want a leader who can connect with the local CVB, reach out to feeder markets such as Austin, Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio, and who can build local support from businesses by leveraging our various venues. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement sales strategies that maintain high levels of occupancy and profitability through coordination with department managers • Report on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenditures • Solicit new guests with targeted outbound sales initiatives, such as personal calls to your network and phone solicitations to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups that will generate new revenue • Analyze market data and use it to develop methods for meeting financial targets, designing marketing plan deliverables, and developing an annual sales forecast Qualifications: • Prior experience of 5+ years as a sales professional in a related field is required • Exemplary communication skills, leadership skills, and analytical skills • Demonstrates a proven track record of success in sales through lead generation and closing • Knowledge of computer-based software such as Microsoft Word and Excel Compensation: $75,000 base and commissions, benefits, with target comp of $110,000+
