Preschool Director Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and evaluate staff performance, including hiring, training, and disciplinary actions.
Develop and manage a budget for the preschool and ensure financial security.
Ensure compliance with licensing regulations, health and safety requirements, and other relevant laws.
Develop and maintain relationships with parents and provide ongoing communication about their children’s progress.
Facilitate professional development opportunities for staff members.
Participate in community outreach activities to raise awareness of the preschool, and in evening and weekend Open House events.
Preschool Director Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
At least five years of Director experience working in a preschool setting.
Knowledge of current early childhood education best practices.
Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
Current CPR and First Aid certification
