    We are seeking a dynamic and visionary Director, Technology Innovation & Strategy to spearhead our technology initiatives, focusing on cutting-edge solutions for the U.S. government. This is a pivotal leadership role demanding a blend of technical acumen, strategic foresight, and a deep understanding of the government contracting landscape. You will be instrumental in identifying and capitalizing on emerging technologies, driving internal R&D, and ensuring our solutions remain at the forefront of IT defense services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategic Technology Leadership: 
      • Develop and execute a comprehensive technology innovation strategy aligned with DoD and Navy modernization priorities.
      • Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, cybersecurity, digital twins, automation, cloud) for integration into government solutions.
      • Translate technical advancements into compelling business value, enhancing our competitiveness in proposals and contract execution.

       

    • Government Contracting & Innovation Pipeline: 
      • Leverage deep understanding of government contracting to drive innovation that directly addresses customer needs and future contract opportunities.
      • Secure and manage government-funded R&D projects (SBIRs, OTAs, IRAD).
      • Collaborate with business development and proposal teams to integrate innovative solutions into winning bids.


    • Internal R&D and Culture Building: 
      • Establish and lead a structured innovation pipeline, fostering employee-driven ideas from concept to prototype.
      • Oversee the funding, development, and testing of prototypes, partnering with SMEs in software engineering, cybersecurity, and cloud.
      • Cultivate a culture of innovation through internal hackathons, technical forums, and proof-of-concept challenges.
      • Mentor technical teams, providing guidance on R&D best practices and solution development.

       

    • Customer and Market Engagement: 
      • Build strategic relationships with DoD research labs, industry partners, and government technology offices.
      • Lead technical discussions with government stakeholders, shaping technology roadmaps and innovation initiatives.

       

    Director, Technology Innovation & Strategy Required Qualifications:

    You have:

    • Progressive experience in technology leadership, R&D management, and defense IT services.
    • Proven expertise in navigating the complexities of government contracting and driving technology innovation within this sector.
    • Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies, zero-trust architecture, and risk management frameworks
    • Demonstrated success in securing and managing government-funded R&D projects.
    • Significant experience participating in business development and proposal support activities, integrating innovative solutions into competitive bids.
    • Strong track record in leadership development, succession planning, and organizational growth.
    • Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain); Top Secret/SCI clearance preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Industry certifications (CISSP, AWS Solutions Architect, PMP, DoD 8570 compliance).
    • Relevant cloud, cybersecurity, or emerging technology certifications related to DoD operations.

     

    Director, Technology Innovation & Strategy Compensation, Benefits, and Perks – For You

     You will work at Company Headquarters in Charleston, SC. You decide how you manage engagements with customers and partners, including travel to satellite offices and customer locations as needed.


    Your compensation will be a base salary of $200,000 and $225,000 depending on experience, plus an annual performance bonus up to 30%.

    In addition, you will be provided with a comprehensive benefit package including:
