    About This Role

    This position can be located anywhere in California and is only open to candidates who currently reside in California. Candidates must have experience in selling and managing cannabis cpg brands directly to dispensary retailers in California.

    This role bridges the gap between our brand partners and the Hyroad sales team, by continually evaluating go to market strategies with leadership of each brand partner and feedback from the Hyroad sales team. This candidate is a high level communicator, analyst, and salesperson, who can continually address what is happening in the market with each brand and how brand partners and the Hyroad sales team should adjust their execution strategies to win.

    Responsibilities

    Possess a cannabis sales background with a deep understanding of “what works” within the current California cannabis retail and sales landscape.

    Leverage a strong cannabis sales background to understand and implement effective strategies within the California cannabis retail and sales landscape.

    Act as a key driver and “quarterback” within the organization, influencing and collaborating across all aspects of HYROAD.

    Handle challenging conversations with brand partners regarding strategy, execution, and performance.

    Communicate effectively through excellent oral and written communication skills.

    Build and maintain trusting relationships with assigned brand partners to ensure alignment and mutual success.

    Develop and drive strong brand strategies, secure buy-in, and execute impactful projects for assigned brands. Maintain frequent communication with brand partner sales leadership.

    Manage inventory and demand planning, sales projections, gap tracking, budget allocation, and achievement of revenue, distribution, and share goals.

    Prepare and present brand strategies, execution plans, and performance reviews both internally and externally.

    Collaborate cross-functionally to drive sales-focused projects across the organization.

    Share accountability for meeting brand partner revenue, distribution, and market share goals.

    Conduct business and competitive analysis to provide actionable feedback and recommendations to sales and execution teams.

    Establish standards for retail merchandising, budtender education, incentives, and demo programs for brand partners.

    Regularly review brand partner criteria execution and develop strategies for improvement.

    Support transitions for new brand partners and lead strategies for launching new products.

    Conduct regular visits to diverse cannabis retailers to stay informed on the evolving retail environment.

    Develop, refine, and improve organizational and brand partner Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

    Maintain a sales-first approach in all responsibilities to prioritize revenue-driving activities.

    Minimize internal meetings to optimize time spent on impactful activities.

    Required Experience

    2+ California Cannabis industry brand sales-to-dispensary experience REQUIRED

    2+ years experience managing teams REQUIRED

    Google Suite: slides, sheets, docs, email, calendar, forms required

    CRM experience a plus
