Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Director of Child Care to join our team! The Director is responsible for providing a safe and nurturing environment for both staff and the children in our care. This position manages staff, select and implement age-appropriate programs and activities for our children. This position also provide support for both staff and parents by keeping them informed on the daily operations and plans of the center. The ideal candidate will need a basic knowledge of Keystone Stars and DHS regulations and requirements.

Responsibilities

Review and approve all lessons, printed materials, process art, activities

Maintain compliance with county, state regulations and Keystone Stars.

Daily operations of the center-scheduling, staff support, parental engagement, parent -teach conferences.

Plan extra-curricular activities, including in-house entertainment, field trips and staff excursions

Qualifications

The required licensing/certifications

Prior experience as Lead Teacher and/or Administrator

Associate or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education is preferred

Supervisory experience and strong communication skills.

Knowledgeable in early child development, and early childhood*12 education
