    The primary purpose of this position is to provide clinical supervision for staff providing child and family services, as well as supervise the development, implementation, and functioning of programs and services for children and their families at Carolina Outreach, LLC. The person in this position will provide individual clinical supervision and case consultation to staff, as well as crisis management response to and with staff, and will serve as needed as a back-up to staff for their clients.

    Location: Durham, NC

    We are seeking a full-time Clinical Director of Child Services to provide the following services:

    • Provide clinical supervision to child and family services staff and P-LCSWs; offer case consultation to other staff as needed.
    • Develop/evaluate the clinical trainings offered by Agency to ensure that staff have the training necessary to deliver quality evidence-based therapeutic services to children and families served by Agency.
    • Ensure that new employees have the credentials, training, and supervision to be able to provide appropriate services.
    • Coordinate orientation training for new employees.
    • Participate on Quality Management Committee.
    • Regularly review and update policy and procedures as needed.
    • Respond to provider by monitoring requests, post-payment reviews, and audits, while ensuring compliance with all applicable standards, especially as they relate to child and family services.
    • Monitor systems to ensure quality, efficiency, and long-term viability of the Agency.
    • Promote and monitor open communication within the Agency and with community partners, and represent the Agency in the community.
    • Respond to requests for applications and complete grant applications as needed.
    • Respond to client and/or stakeholder concerns or complaints as needed.
    • Implement as needed plans-of-correction with staff to assist staff in meeting job expectations and addressing professional development issues.
    • Maintain up-to-date employee personnel files by completing personnel reviews in a timely manner.
    • Participate in bi-weekly management team meetings and annual retreats.
    • Assist management team with various committee, workgroup, community, legislative, and quality assurance/compliance issues as needed.

    Direct Services

    • Work with clients, families, and/or their natural supports to assess strengths/needs, assist families with planning, developing, implementing, and assessing treatment and ancillary services.
    • Recommend the types of treatment modalities needed and provide these services directly or by referral.
    • Develop/evaluate the service plan to ensure that services are being delivered and are appropriate to the needs of the child and family.
    • Act as an advocate in the community.
    • Be available to respond as needed to clients, co-workers, and supervisees 24/7/365.
