The Director of Client Development, Wealth Management will be a key leader driving growth through partnerships and through direct-to-client efforts. Join an existing Growth and Advisory team within an established start-up to focus on new client development and asset formation and create, cultivate and close prospects directly as well as through collaboration with B2B partners to drive referral business.

You will work closely with a highly experienced team of industry experts and entrepreneurs to help shape the organization and develop targeted strategies to optimally close business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with our CPA partners to identify and develop tax-smart wealth opportunities (including tax-advantaged accounts, charitable giving strategies, direct indexing and automated tax loss harvesting and so on) for existing tax clients to create warm leads based on the CPA relationships
- Create leads and prospects by driving partner referrals/cross-selling and/or through in-person and digital events with prospects
- Collaborate with Operations and Business Development representatives to support and build the client development process, including prospect proposal materials and lead tracking through our CRM and Sales Automation tools
- Lead the creation playbook that drives client growth and asset formation across acquisition channels
- Ensure a seamless prospect-to-client experience, closely collaborating with Onboarding, Wealth Advisory, and Operations teams to connect new clients to right advisor
Here's what you need:
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Financial Planning, Finance, Accounting, or Economics (Master's degree preferred)
- Series 65 or 66 required; CFP® certification is a plus
- A track record of building a large book of wealth management business based on a consultative approach
- Strong experience with CRM systems such as Salesforce or Hubspot and marketing technology
- 7+ years of wealth management and comprehensive financial planning experience, with a preference for experience working with High Net Worth accounts
- Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience working with centers of influence (such as CPAs or lawyers) in the development of new wealth management relationships
- Interest in being part of a new business that is rapidly scaling
