Director Clinical Operations at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:
· The Director of Acute Inpatient Care Services is responsible for PSU/ICU and Emergency Room departmental functions in support of the hospital mission, vision, and facility goals.
· The Director is responsible for directing the nursing care and clinical teams with safe, effective and efficient care with 24-hour daily responsibility.

Required Skills
** Education:**
· Graduate of professional school of nursing, BSN required
· Master’s degree preferred, applicable to area of expertise
Licensure/Certification: ****
· Current, active Texas RN License
· BLS, ACLS required, PALS is required within 6 months of hire

Required Experience
** Specific Job Experience:**
· Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Medical/Surgical or Intensive Care nursing.
· Minimum two (2) years’ experience in a management position with progressive management/ leadership roles
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
· Consistently demonstrates professional behavior and exhibits strong leadership skills
· Knowledge of TDH, Medicare and the Joint Commission rules & regulations.
· Capable of effective listening, conflict resolution, and great communicator.
· Ability to utilize Electronic Health Care Record for patient documentation.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
· Improves and / or maintains high employee morale as measured by the employee satisfaction survey
· Implements change and manages and resolves conflict
· Participates in the continual viability of the facility through program development
· Develops, implements and revises policies and procedures that guide and support the provision of services
· Identifies the cost-effective systems needed to support the business of the department taking into account business trends, resource availability and changes in customers.
· Establishes effective working relationships with all constituencies including patients, physicians, employees, volunteers and vendors.
· Identifies and remedies through continuous customer satisfaction data and employee involvement.
· Works with Senior Management in meeting Facility goals, serving as a resource.
· Leads and participates in hospital and department based meetings and councils, responsible for timely reporting and data management around performance improvement activities
· Integrates department’s services with the hospital’s primary functions and with other departments
· Assists with staffing the unit as needed.
Education:
