Director of Clinical Services – Home Health

Location: Marion County, FL

The Director of Clinical Services (DCS) is a Registered Nurse (RN), physician, or healthcare professional with equivalent experience who oversees home health services for homebound patients in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans. The DCS ensures the highest quality of care and provides supervision for skilled nursing and other therapeutic services. If an RN, the DCS is available during operating hours (or appoints a qualified alternate) and participates in all activities relevant to professional services, including the development of personnel qualifications and assignments.

• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida (if applicable).
• 3-5 years of experience in health care or home care (preferred).
• 2+ years in a supervisory role (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of community health principles and practices.
• Ability to supervise, guide, and develop service personnel.
• Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage high-stress situations effectively.

1. Develops and enforces standards for safe, effective patient care.
2. Assists the Administrator in staffing, recruitment, hiring, and evaluation.
3. Plans and conducts orientation and training for new employees.
4. Maintains compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, and state regulations.
5. Ensures interdisciplinary coordination and continuity of care.
6. Oversees quality assurance (QA) and performance improvement (PI) programs.
7. Serves as a clinical resource for staff and physicians.
8. Investigates and resolves patient care concerns.
9. Participates in budget planning and resource allocation.
10. Ensures staffing and visit assignments align with patient needs.
11. Provides 24/7 on-call coverage as needed.

• Office-based work with periodic travel to patient homes.
• Moderate lifting and ability to stand for extended periods.
