    About the Role:

    The Director of Data is responsible for the strategic development and operation of the BI/data warehousing practice. This includes managing staffing requirements, optimizing processes and technology, and ensuring a high-availability BI/data warehouse platform. The Director will work closely with business executives and stakeholders in other departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support analytics solutions that deliver essential information to meet their needs.

    What You’ll Do:

    Strategy & Planning

    Partner with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for BI, analytics, and data warehousing.

    Align business and IT ategies at the director level across business units.

    Integrate Data Architecture with enterprise-wide goals in collaboration with IT.

    Optimize data resource utilization and streamline reporting, dashboards, and analytics.

    Develop staffing and training plans, leveraging automation and offshore resources.

    Establish maintenance schedules and governance policies for BI and data warehousing.

    Drive adoption of BI programs and define key success metrics.

    Lead feasibility studies, proof of concepts, and pilot projects.

    Implement best practices for high-availability issue resolution and compliance.

    Operations

    Oversee deployment, monitoring, and enhancement of BI/EDW systems, ensuring security and compliance.

    Develop short- and long-term BI strategies to align with evolving business needs.

    Recruit, develop, and retain top talent for BI and analytics initiatives.

    Foster a data-driven culture through self-service analytics and data literacy programs.

    Continuously optimize BI/EDW architecture for efficiency and scalability.

    Research and recommend emerging data technologies and innovations.

    Ensure alignment of change management practices with company policies.

    Maintain executive and cross-functional communication to enhance data-driven decision-making.

    What You Bring:

    Experience

    University degree in data science, computer science, information systems, or business administration, with 5+ years of related work experience, including 2+ years in a senior data leadership role Required.

    Experience with forecasting models and methodologies Required

    Experience with AI collaboration Required

    Collaborater, Leader across Business Areas. Required

    Home Service Experience HIGHLY PREFERRED

    Call Center Reporting Experience Preferred

    Proven experience in BI/data warehousing planning, development, and data infrastructure.

    Experience with data analytics platforms such as Snowflake and Google BigQuery.

    Proven experience in building and managing virtual teams.

    Proven experience developing business cases and departmental budgets.

    Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

    Accurate data in a timely matter

    Skills

    Extensive knowledge of SQL and data manipulation languages.

    In-depth knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

    Strong understanding of project management principles and experience using project management tools.

    Strong understanding of human resource management principles, practices, and procedures.

    Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.

    Ability to communicate complex data concepts in business-friendly language.

    Ability to conduct and direct research into IT issues and products as required.
