    • Our client is an innovative manufacturing company specializing in industrialized, stick-framed multi-family housing. They utilize advanced techniques to streamline construction processes, reduce costs, and prioritize sustainability.
    • Currently they are seeking a Director of Fabrication and Engineering to work closely with the COO and VP of Design & Engineering, and is responsible for the management of the A&E team in their work to develop and deliver fabrication drawings and overall support for production of projects within the factory. This role will involve internal facing management of the A&E team to insure timely, quality-controlled and complete drawings sets to assist in coordination, problem-solving, and scheduling. The Director of Fabrication and Engineering will push new systems and processes to support continued growth and improvement within the team and organization, drive design excellence and technical innovation across modular construction projects. This role will oversee architectural design, engineering integration, and technical execution of our modular housing solutions, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, sustainability, and code compliance while advancing our clients' mission to revolutionize affordable housing through manufacturing innovation.

    Responsibilities:

    • Work with the VP of Design & Engineering to manage the operations of the Architecture & Engineering fabrication team
    • Manage RFI process for: completeness prior to issuing to project managers, completeness of response prior to A&E’s subsequent incorporation into fabrication drawings, and alert Construction PM department of any associated time/cost delays in the delivery of a complete fabrication drawing set.
    • Establish standards, processes, and innovations to improve the flow and production of fabrication drawings, including coordination with new concepts for automation
    • Develop A&E milestone/deliverable schedules for internal teams and client with Project Manager
    • Provide regular QA/QC feedback on drawings relative to fabrication drawings requirements.
    • Coordinate with the technology team on new opportunities for software and technology improvements.
    • Coordinate fabrication reviews with production team
    • Manage all implementation processes including resource allocation, progress tracking, monitoring change control process, training, and status reports
    • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time
    • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals
    • Regularly communicate and present project schedules and statuses

    Qualifications:

    • 8+ years’ experience in the Architectural, Engineering, and Construction (AEC) industry with specific experience in multifamily wood frame housing
    • An accredited degree in architecture, engineering, or related credentials
    • Proficient with BIM, Autodesk Revit, and other industry software

    Compensation:

    • Base salary in the 175k - 195k/year range
