Responsibilities
- Develop and enforce financial policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
- Oversee relationships with financial institutions, suppliers, and government agencies, ensuring seamless communication and adherence to requirements.
- Manage comprehensive accounting functions, including payroll, accounts payable, receivables, billing, and the general ledger.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, forecasts, and budgets to provide actionable insights.
- Monitor cash flow and working capital to maintain fiscal health and operational readiness.
- Lead the financial planning and annual audit process, ensuring accuracy and collaboration with auditors.
- Implement robust internal controls and drive process improvements across departments.
- Oversee business insurance policies to safeguard the company’s assets.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in leadership roles; public accounting or small business experience preferred.
- Expertise in transfer pricing, cost accounting, and internal control implementation.
- Strong knowledge of cannabis industry accounting standards (280E), taxes, and compliance (preferred).
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA required, MBA is a plus.
- In-depth understanding of GAAP, financial planning, tax, and reconciliation processes.
- Proven experience in selecting and implementing accounting systems.
- Exceptional skills in MS Office applications and keen attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality, and excel in problem-solving.
Compensation: $180,000 base salary plus benefits
