    Our client is an industry-leading electrical contractor specializing in design, maintenance, new construction, and rehabilitation projects. Serving Rochester, Syracuse, Albany, and Southern Tier Regions. With expanding in different regions providing quality, energy-efficient, and affordable electrical installations.

    Position Summary:

    The CEO is seeking a dynamic and strategic financial leader to oversee the financial operations of our holding company, which manages assets across electrical contracting, real estate and properties, and additional business ventures.

    The Director of Finance will be instrumental in driving the financial strategy to achieve our goal of growing the portfolio to $100M in wealth over the next 10 years. This is a high-impact role requiring financial acumen, leadership, and strategic vision.

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement financial strategies to achieve Company’s growth and profitability targets.
    • Collaborate with the CEO and leadership team to establish and execute the company’s 10-year strategic plan.
    • Provide insights and recommendations for acquisitions, investments, and divestitures to optimize the portfolio's value.
    • Lead the annual budgeting process, including long-term financial forecasting for all businesses.
    • Conduct in-depth financial analysis, identifying trends and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth.
    • Prepare detailed financial reports for quarterly and annual board reviews.
    • Oversee day-to-day financial operations, including accounting, treasury, risk management and compliance functions.
    • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
    • Implement and monitor effective internal controls and financial policies.
    • Manage capital allocation across subsidiaries, ensuring optimal funding for growth initiatives.
    • Oversee debt and equity financing, including structuring deals for acquisitions or real estate investments.
    • Build and maintain relationships with financial institutions, investors, and other stakeholders.
    • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
    • Work closely with subsidiary financial managers to align financial operations and reporting with corporate goals.
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and reporting requirements.
    • Proactively manage financial risks, including currency fluctuations, market changes, and operational liabilities.
    • Collaborate with legal counsel on contracts, acquisitions, and other key transactions.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required). MBA or CPA designation preferred.
    • Minimum 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a DOF or equivalent role.
    • Proven track record in managing financial operations of holding companies, real estate portfolios, or similar diversified businesses.
    • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and team management abilities.
    • Advanced knowledge of financial software, ERP systems, and Excel modeling.

  • Compensation
    $140,000-$160,000 per year
