Director of Finance -

Insero Talent Solutions is currently recruiting for a Director of Finance (Direct Hire) position for a nonprofit organization in the Rochester, NY area.

Summary: The Director of Finance will lead the production of general accounting, and financial information by establishing processes and procedures and leading an accounting staff.

Job Duties:

• Manage the general ledger and reviewing journal entries for accuracy
• Oversee fixed assets and assets and liability accounting
• Coordinate with outside firms for year-end audit preparation
• Oversee all accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
• Manage cash flow and reporting activities; financial statements, variance analysis, grant reporting
• Provide support with annual budgeting and forecasting
• Monitor internal controls and identify/implement improvements as necessary
• Handle required reporting for 1099s, 990 and 5500 tax returns
• Review of weekly payroll runs
• Supervise and mentor accounting team

Requirements:

7+ years of prior accounting experience is required with proven supervisory experience. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required, MBA and/or CPA preferred. Candidate must have strong attention to detail and be able to manage time/prioritize to meet deadlines. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs and have experience using a complex ERP system.
