Our client, an international supplement company is seeking an experienced Director of Finance and Accounting based in Los Angeles to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, accounting, and analysis, with the ability to lead a team and drive strategic financial decisions.

**This is an in person role in the Los Angeles, CA area

Job Responsibilities:

Financial Management and Reporting

• Oversee the monthly accounting cycle, including month-end close processes
• Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, providing variance analysis and insights to executive leadership
• Develop and improve accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Manage the consolidation of financial data from international operations

Budgeting and Forecasting

• Lead the annual budgeting process and create financial forecasts
• Develop financial models and projections to support organizational decision-making[
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement

Team Leadership

• Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff
• Collaborate with department heads to gather performance data and understand operational workflows

International Finance

• Oversee financial activities related to international operations, including currency management and global digital expenses
• Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and regulations

Strategic Planning

• Provide financial analyses and recommendations to support the company's strategic objectives
• Develop strategies to assess, manage, and minimize financial risks

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
• 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and international accounting standards
• Experience with financial software and ERP systems
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Outstanding communication and leadership abilities

Compensation: $200,000-$250,000 plus full benefits
