Our client, an international supplement company is seeking an experienced Director of Finance and Accounting based in Los Angeles to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, accounting, and analysis, with the ability to lead a team and drive strategic financial decisions.
**This is an in person role in the Los Angeles, CA area
Job Responsibilities:
Financial Management and Reporting
- Oversee the monthly accounting cycle, including month-end close processes
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, providing variance analysis and insights to executive leadership
- Develop and improve accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Manage the consolidation of financial data from international operations
Budgeting and Forecasting
- Lead the annual budgeting process and create financial forecasts
- Develop financial models and projections to support organizational decision-making[
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor accounting and finance staff
- Collaborate with department heads to gather performance data and understand operational workflows
International Finance
- Oversee financial activities related to international operations, including currency management and global digital expenses
- Ensure compliance with international accounting standards and regulations
Strategic Planning
- Provide financial analyses and recommendations to support the company's strategic objectives
- Develop strategies to assess, manage, and minimize financial risks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred
- 10+ years of experience in finance and accounting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and international accounting standards
- Experience with financial software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Outstanding communication and leadership abilities

Compensation: $200,000-$250,000 plus full benefits
