    Your opportunity: Director of Human Resources (HR) Director of Human Resources (HR) - Your Job Duties:

    You will lead a team of up to 25 team members across multiple departments including human resources, safety, training and recruitment.

    Leadership & Strategy

    • Develop company policies and procedures in support of overall company strategic plan
    • Collaborate with company management and leadership to understand their needs and challenges, bringing ideas and proposed solutions
    • Develop a continuity planning process to enable employees to grow and provide bench strength for all divisions
    • Design and manage compensation and benefits programs that attract and retain employees
    • Utilize HR metrics to assess and enhance the effectiveness of HR programs and initiatives (including recruitment metrics, retention metrics and other human resources KPIs)
    • Travel to all company locations to understand local issues and create goodwill with remote locations
    • Identify training needs / develop programs to support employee growth and development
    • Oversee performance appraisal system that drives employee development and retention

    Team Management

    • Interview, hire, performance manage and coach team members
    • Directly oversee the human resources, safety, recruitment and training teams (23 total team members) including providing ongoing oversight, mentoring and guidance

    Human Resource (HR) Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to wage and hour laws, compliance requirements and union agreement requirements (for both union and non-union workforce)
    • Assist with human resources employee matters including leave of absence/maternity leaves, benefits, firm policies, wage and hour questions
    • Maintain up to date on ongoing HR compliance requirements, researching and communicating relevant changes to management

    Director of Human Resources (HR) \- Required Skills, Experience & Fit with Our Team

    You have:

    • Previous experience and a well-rounded knowledge of human resource (HR) including employee relations, strategic initiatives and human resources compliance matters
    • Prior leadership experience – you have overseen and lead a human resource (HR) department with multiple team members or multiple departments
    • A strong Emotional I.Q. (“E.Q.”) – you work well with many different personality types and can support both craft labor and the executive team
    • You bring options, ideas and solutions to human resources situations that elevate the company and the team

     Director of Human Resources (HR) \- Desired, Not Required

    You have:

    • Human Resources certification (PHR / SPHR / SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP or related)
    • Prior experience with union labor relations, union contracts, or prior experience in a labor relations role
    • Prior experience overseeing safety or recruitment

    Director of Human Resources (HR) - For You

    This role is based out of the Company Headquarters (near Roseville, CA) and is 100% in office role.

    Compensation $150,000 + base salary plus very strong incentive bonus plan as a percentage of your salary + monthly auto allowance.
