    Job Opportunity: Director of Nursing (DON)
    Marion County, FL

    We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead home health operations in Marion County. The DON will oversee the delivery of high-quality care to homebound patients, develop care plans aligned with physician orders, and manage the clinical team with expertise and professionalism.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Establish and maintain standards for safe, effective patient care.
    • Collaborate with the Administrator to set and achieve agency goals.
    • Recruit, evaluate, and manage clinical staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of patient care plans and coordinate interdisciplinary team efforts.
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as agency policies and accreditation standards.
    • Lead quality assurance (QA) and performance improvement (PI) initiatives.
    • Provide training, mentorship, and support to clinical staff.
    • Address and resolve patient concerns promptly and professionally.
    • Maintain a flexible and supportive approach to agency operations, including 24/7 on-call availability.

    Qualifications

    • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida.
    • Minimum of three to five years of experience in healthcare or home care (preferred).
    • At least two years of supervisory experience (preferred).
    • Knowledge of community health principles, agency policies, and care standards.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to make independent decisions and manage stress effectively.

    Working Environment

    • Primarily office-based with occasional field visits.
    • Requires moderate physical activity, including lifting and standing.

    Additional Information

    • Supervises the entire clinical team and reports to the Administrator.
    • Maintains a low-risk working environment.
