We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing (DON) to lead home health operations in Marion County. The DON will oversee the delivery of high-quality care to homebound patients, develop care plans aligned with physician orders, and manage the clinical team with expertise and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain standards for safe, effective patient care.
- Collaborate with the Administrator to set and achieve agency goals.
- Recruit, evaluate, and manage clinical staff, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Oversee the development and implementation of patient care plans and coordinate interdisciplinary team efforts.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as agency policies and accreditation standards.
- Lead quality assurance (QA) and performance improvement (PI) initiatives.
- Provide training, mentorship, and support to clinical staff.
- Address and resolve patient concerns promptly and professionally.
- Maintain a flexible and supportive approach to agency operations, including 24/7 on-call availability.
Qualifications
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Florida.
- Minimum of three to five years of experience in healthcare or home care (preferred).
- At least two years of supervisory experience (preferred).
- Knowledge of community health principles, agency policies, and care standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to make independent decisions and manage stress effectively.
Working Environment
- Primarily office-based with occasional field visits.
- Requires moderate physical activity, including lifting and standing.

- Maintains a low-risk working environment.
