    Director of Operations – High-End Residential Construction (Manhattan)

    Job Summary:

    We are seeking an experienced Director of Operations to oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of a high-end residential construction company in Manhattan. This role requires a strong leader with a deep understanding of luxury residential construction, project management, and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in delivering high-end projects on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Operational Leadership & Strategy:

    • Oversee all construction operations, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and meet client expectations.

    • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve workflow, profitability, and overall efficiency.

    • Manage and optimize resource allocation, including labor, materials, and subcontractors.

    • Project Management & Execution:

    • Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget while maintaining the highest quality.

    • Coordinate with project managers, site supervisors, and subcontractors to ensure seamless execution.

    • Client & Stakeholder Relations:

    • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-net-worth clients, architects, designers, and developers.

    • Maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and industry partners.

    • Address and resolve any project challenges while ensuring client satisfaction.

    • Financial Oversight & Budgeting:

    • Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.

    • Monitor project financials, including job costing, contracts, and change orders.

    • Ensure all projects meet profitability targets and company financial objectives.

    • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Lead and mentor a team of project managers, site supervisors, and administrative staff.

    • Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and excellence.

    • Implement training programs to enhance team performance and efficiency.


    Qualifications & Skills:

    • 10+ years of experience in high-end residential construction, with at least 5 years in a senior operational role.

    • Strong understanding of luxury construction techniques, materials, and project management methodologies.

    • Proven experience managing multiple high-end projects in Manhattan or other urban luxury markets.

    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

    • Expertise in construction software (Procore, Buildertrend, AutoCAD, MS Project, etc.).

    • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, job costing, and contract negotiations.

    • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or Business (preferred).
