JAM Restaurant Group is a franchisee who operates Popeyes in Iowa. We are a fast-growing growing with 8 current locations and opening 4 new next year and projected 2 more the following. We are looking to add a Director of Operations to our growing company. This key executive role will plan, direct, coordinate and oversee all retail operations. Additionally ensuring development and implementation of efficient operations and cost-effective systems to meet current and future needs of our organization. Some of the areas of focus are establishing consistent training programs, current and new store growth project initiatives, evaluating staff process and functions to improve store operations, enhancing/creating more effective and succinct communication processes, and overseeing budgets and goals for the company.
Essential Functions
Work directly with all leaders and stores to stay up to date with company polices and achieve excellent level of operations, training, and food safety.
Ensures focus on increasing sales and profits and building productive management teams.
Directly responsible in the company’s day-to-day operations and will carry out company policies guidelines.
Oversee operational practices making sure that each restaurant/district runs smoothly and meets projected sales, drive thru times, food and labor cost targets.
Coordinate and make recommendations to the owner to grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
Cultivate and grow a strong team of leaders committed to the business with high operational standards while working with store leaders to increase staffing occupancy and decreasing employee turnover.
Make regular visits to restaurants and interact in the day-to-day operations.
Qualification Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Management or equivalent.
Five to seven years of progressive leadership experience in Restaurant Industry Operations. Must have a proven track record of achieving results and building successful teams.
Ability to partner and build relationships while demonstrating leadership and integrity and promoting team success.
Must be able to walk and stand during most of a shift. Frequent sitting, bending, squatting, and stopping required and can lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to remain tactful, calm, and persuasive in all situations.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
Extensive knowledge of the principles, procedures, and best practices in the QSR industry.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must complete a full background check
Valid Driver’s License and a reliable vehicle
Must be ServSafe certified or capable of attaining certification
Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (i.e. Outlook, Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
