Job Summary: As RYSE’s Director of Operations, you will have the opportunity to support RYSE’s operations by driving a range of operational initiatives in close collaboration with internal departments and external partners. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, warehouse production schedules, supply chain and process optimization, building/site systems and facilities, employee hiring, training, performance, and other relevant duties.
Responsibilities:
Oversee daily production activities of the warehouse ensuring company and department goals are being met
Integrate new process improvement initiatives into current systems using principles such as Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methods aimed at enhancing efficiency and quality of output
Lead, train, and develop the operations team on company practices and performance, including logistics and operations coordinators, supply chain analysts, customer support agents, warehouse personnel and support staff
Maintain a culture of safety by identifying and implementing occupational safety best practices in compliance with OSHA regulations
Assess and address safety hazards, equipment malfunctions, site/facility improvement projects, and other systems while controlling for cost
Collaborate with Leadership and Human Resources for interviewing and hiring
Work closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Marketing, Product Development, Purchasing, and more to support strategic and organizational goals
Provide regular and ad hoc reports to Leadership on success metrics, milestones, and operational activities in progress
Assist and report to the COO
Education and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Business Administration, Industrial Organization, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
3-5+ years of experience managing warehouse and/or distribution operations
Experience working with fast-moving consumer packaged goods (CPG)
Experience using ERP systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite
Experience using Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams, etc
Able to work at a desk/on a computer for up to 8 hours a day
Standout Qualifications:
Advanced degree (e.g. master’s degree, etc) in a relevant field
Previous experience working with manufacturers in the sports nutrition & supplements industry
