The Tyson Law Firm is hiring a Director of Operations. We are a personal injury and criminal defense law firm based in Oak Cliff, Texas. This role will oversee the administrative operations of our law firm. The ideal candidate will help develop, teach, and manage operational processes, including but not limited to marketing, case intake, and billing.

You will ensure that all firm processes run smoothly, from hiring and managing talent to translating the firm owner's vision for growth into executable goals. You should be a strong business leader with high emotional intelligence and excellent communication skills.
The position encompasses a wide range of activities with involvement in all phases of administration, personnel, finances, facilities, and business systems. We need someone with the experience and maturity to work closely with the owner and key staff on strategy, policy, problem-solving, and decision-making. This position will be responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and controlling the firm’s day-to-day operations while developing and implementing firm policies.
The Director of Operations will be responsible for improving both our people and our systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (Other duties may be assigned)
Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to achieve organizational goals and objectives.
Administrative Oversight: Oversee all administrative functions of the law firm.
Financial Management: Manage and oversee the firm’s financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and revenue cycle management.
Staff Management: Recruit, hire, train, and supervise staff, fostering a culture of professionalism, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Forecast and manage headcount allocation.
Create, implement, and maintain firm policies and procedures.
Train staff on all policies and procedures, linking compliance to key performance indicators (KPIs) and performance reviews.
Create an internal audit system to trigger red flags when policies and procedures are not followed properly, ensuring we catch errors before they reach the client.
Define and implement productivity metrics to measure and improve firm efficiency.
Client Experience: Monitor and enhance the client experience by implementing best practices in customer service and client engagement.
Technology Integration: Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve efficiency and enhance service to clients.
Vendor Management: Oversee relationships with vendors and service providers, negotiate contracts, and ensure cost-effective solutions. Approve purchasing of office equipment and supplies.
Quality Assurance: Establish and monitor quality assurance measures to ensure the highest standards of administrative excellence.
Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, case managers, intake specialists, and marketing staff to optimize operational performance and achieve organizational goals.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum education: Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field (or equivalent experience). MBA preferred.
Must have 5+ years of operations management experience. Law firm administrative experience is preferred but not required.
Strong commitment to customer service.
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team in a high-growth environment.
Proven track record of strategic planning and execution.
Experience with financial management and budgeting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
