The Director of Operations is pivotal in maintaining consistent operations, ensuring high-quality customer service, optimizing sales performance, and managing staff across our four current locations. This role encompasses strategic planning, team leadership, financial management, and adherence to health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in retail or service management, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations at all four locations to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
Implement and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain consistency.
Ensure all equipment and facilities are well-maintained and in optimal condition.
Implement process improvements and corrective actions to enhance operational efficiency.
Staff Management:
Recruit, train, and supervise salon leads and staff to ensure high performance and professional development.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Customer Service:
Ensure exceptional customer service standards are met at all times.
Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements to enhance the customer experience.
Financial Management:
Develop and manage budgets for each salon location.
Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability.
Implement cost-control measures and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
Sales and Marketing:
Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve business goals and drive revenue growth.
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotional campaigns.
Analyze sales data and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all locations comply with local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards.
Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
Implement and enforce safety protocols to protect guests and staff.
Inventory Management:
Oversee inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies and products are available at all times.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to obtain the best prices and terms.
Implement inventory control procedures to minimize waste and loss.
Objectives:
Collaborate with managers to develop performance goals.
Maximize efficiency and productivity across locations through process analysis.
Set strategic goals for operational efficiency and increased productivity.
Work with CEO on financial planning and budgeting.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of senior leadership experience, preferably in the retail or service industry.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Deep knowledge of operational functions such as finance, customer service, and production.
Proven ability to plan and manage operations for maximum efficiency.
Ability to streamline structures and roles to support rapidly changing business needs.
Working Conditions:
This position requires regular travel between spa locations.
Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
