We’re looking for an experienced and strategic Director of Procurement, Materials to lead procurement initiatives in the Mountain West and West regions for groundbreaking renewable energy projects.     What You’ll Do:  As Director of Procurement you’ll be at the heart of our procurement strategy, managing material contracts across multiple projects and ensuring the seamless execution of procurement processes. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, operational leaders, and suppliers to source the materials that power our renewable energy projects. Your leadership will be key in ensuring compliance, driving cost savings, and implementing best-in-class procurement practices.

    • Lead cross-divisional teams across multiple regions, driving growth and cost savings opportunities.
    • Oversee the entire competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process, ensuring your sourcing teams secure the best possible value for materials.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, monitoring supplier performance and driving operational excellence.
    • Act as a strategic liaison between operations, suppliers, and manufacturers, minimizing risks and maximizing project success.
    • Guide your team in developing procurement strategies, negotiating contracts, and ensuring all actions align with company policies and objectives.
    • Collaborate with the Center of Excellence to manage material sourcing events, ensuring seamless project execution and supplier accountability.
    • Provide invaluable support to project teams, ensuring they have the necessary material pricing and estimates to succeed.

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS include the following

    • 10+ years of experience in procurement, contract management, or project management, ideally in renewable energy or a related field.
    • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to manage and inspire cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
    • Expertise in developing and implementing procurement strategies, negotiating with suppliers, and managing contracts.
    • Strong experience in managing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), ensuring continuous improvement and performance excellence.
    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Supply Management, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
    • Preferred certifications: Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Chain Management (CPSM).
