    Organization: Jazz Hands For Autism

    Jazz Hands For Autism is a nonprofit organization. Founded in May 2014, we are a talent advocacy group with a mission to provide avenues for musicians on the autism spectrum to turn their passion for music into a line of income..

    We are seeking dedicated and skilled Director of Programs & Events for the Jazz Hands Musicians Academy (JHMA), a music-based vocational program that uses a strength-based approach to empower musicians with autism and amplify their voices by providing necessary resources and avenues that will assist them with forging a rewarding and career path as a working musician. JHMA provides individualized music lessons, performance training and wrap-around artist development services and performance scouting for individuals with autism who are looking to improve their musicianship and begin a career as a musician.

    Full Time/ Part Time: Full Time

    Pay: $68,993.60 / Year

    Job Overview:

    The Director of Programs and Events for Jazz Hands for Autism is responsible for overseeing all Jazz Hands Programs including the Jazz Hands Musicians Academy, Jazz Hands Junior Academy, Jazz Hands Jobs, and the Concert & Events Series.

    Job Responsibilities & Duties:

    Programs:

    Operational and financial oversight of all Jazz Hands For Autism programs inclusive of:

    Jazz Hands Musicians Academy (Enrichments and Conservatory Programs)

    Jazz Hands Junior Academy

    Jazz Hands Jobs

    Concert and Events Series

    Leadership over Program Coordinators inclusive of setting programmatic goals and tracking outcomes.

    Oversight of Coordinator of Curriculum and Technology and outcomes on the development of new curriculum and implementation of new technologies.

    Responsible for administrative aspects of carrying out tasks including timely communication with staff and stakeholders.

    Oversight of participant and staff recruitment for the various programs operated by Jazz Hands For Autism

    Responsible for interfacing with stakeholders including parents, students and potential partners

    Events:

    Responsible for planning and implementing twice annual concert series.

    Responsible for planning and overseeing organizational events for the staff, students, and community.

    Oversight of venue and office building needs.

    Qualifications & Skills:

    Must have 5+ years of experience in program or project management.

    Must have 3+ years of experience in curriculum or program development.

    Experience in event planning, large concerts and fundraisers is preferred.

    Must have leadership experience leading dynamic teams.

    Must have program management experience.

    Demonstrated leadership skills over diverse teams

    Strategic mindset and ability to multitask balancing multiple projects at once

    Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills

    This position is required to travel locally on occasion and may occasionally require Saturday work.
