Director of Property Management - Commercial Division
SVN Cornerstone is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the Property Management Team and expand our commercial portfolio. As the Director of Property Management, you will be responsible for optimizing the performance and operations of the Property Management division and developing and implementing a strategic growth plan.

Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a comprehensive property management growth program to expand the portfolio, including goals and targets and clear strategies and tactics.
Collaborate with the leasing and marketing teams to develop and execute marketing and promotional initiatives to attract high-quality prospective tenants and actively grow the portfolio.
Create and implement a tenant retention program.
Refine department processes and procedures to be more streamlined and efficient.
Analyze and report on market trends, benchmark department performance, and identify opportunities for operational improvement and value enhancement.
Collaborate with senior management on strategic initiatives, budget planning, and overall portfolio performance and growth.
Build strong relationships with property owners, investors, vendors, and external service providers to ensure smooth operations and effective partnerships.
Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and sustainability initiatives related to commercial property management.
Team Management Responsibilities:
Oversee the property management teams’ day-to-day operations and delegate roles and tasks appropriately.
Supervise all back office accounting for the portfolio, including but not limited to: CAM reconciliation, AP/AR, annual budgets, and monthly financials.
Monitor financial performance and implement cost control measures to maximize revenue and minimize expenses.
Ensure successful operations of the properties, including tenant relations, leasing, facility management, and maintenance activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in business administration, real estate, finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus
5+ years of experience in a Commercial Property Management capacity – bonus points for CPM or RPA designations
Strong experience with financial reporting – CAM, forecasting, annual budgets and monthly financials
Previous experience managing a team and growing a portfolio
In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate operations, property management principles, and leasing practices.
Proficiency with various software platforms, such as Yardi, Appfolio, Kardin etc.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with tenants, owners, and stakeholders.
Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service and resolving issues effectively
Knowledge of local and national real estate laws, regulations, and building codes.
Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, managing multiple properties and priorities while delivering results within deadlines.
Excellent leadership and department management skills
