    Key Responsibilities:

    • Financial Leadership:
      • Oversee the monthly accounting close process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
      • Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
      • Manage customer settlements and invoicing processes.
      • Ensure compliance with internal controls, regulatory standards, and GAAP.
    • Team Management:
      • Develop and lead a high-performing team of accounting professionals.
      • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
      • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members.
    • Process Improvement:
      • Optimize accounting processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
      • Implement best practices and leverage technology to streamline workflows.
      • Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial integration.
    • Strategic Thinking:
      • Provide strategic financial advice to senior management.
      • Identify and address financial risks and opportunities.
      • Develop and implement financial plans and budgets.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • CPA certification Required.
    • Big 4 / Public Accounting experience required
    • 10+ years of relevant accounting experience, including team management.
    • Strong understanding of accounting principles, GAAP, and ASC 606.
    • Experience in the utility or renewables industry preferred.
    • Experience with PowerOptix, Commodity XL (CXL), or other commercial trading/invoicing systems.
    • Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to revenue accounting.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Hybrid position - 3 days in office
