We’re working with a Commercial Specialty Contractor in the greater Houston area that’s looking for a Director of Safety to spearhead their safety initiatives. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to design, implement, and drive a safety program that ensures compliance, reduces risk, and builds a culture where safety comes first.

Duties:

• Develop and oversee the company’s safety policies and procedures to align with industry regulations and best practices.
• Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Provide training and resources to employees, fostering a strong safety culture across all levels of the organization.
• Investigate incidents and accidents, preparing detailed reports and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining up-to-date documentation.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of progressive safety management experience, preferably in Construction or related sector.
• Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and other relevant safety standards.
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and engage teams at all levels.
• Certifications such as CSP, CHST, or equivalent are highly preferred.
