Job Description:
The Director of School Operations is a crucial role that involves managing the daily operational needs of our school to maintain a safe, productive, and welcoming environment for students, faculty, and families. The ideal candidate will hold experience in an early education setting, a strong understanding of EEC regulations, and a detail-oriented approach to safety and compliance. Additionally, the Director of School Operations will collaborate closely with faculty to provide training and regular monthly observations and feedback to support professional growth and student learning outcomes. We are looking for a flexible individual who is open to continuous learning and who understands the importance of fostering a collaborative and welcoming school culture.
Job Responsibilities:
Act as a Faculty Development Coach for a select group of faculty, conducting monthly observations, feedback, goal setting, and coaching with faculty.
Hold the School Facilities Manager Role: Hold processes inside school facilities to maintain a beautiful school and work with vendors to coordinate services.
Conduct monthly health and safety checks; schedule, log, and oversee fire drills and lockdown exercises.
Track and maintain compliance for student allergies and health conditions.
Maintain an accurate incident report log, analyzing trends to improve safety and response protocols.
New Hire Administration - coordinate new hire documentation and BRC checks.
Ensure HR and EEC file compliance by managing documentation such as faculty physicals, and CPR certifications.
Track and update faculty CPR training, ensuring all records are current and meet school standards.
Coordinate monthly in-house field trips and plan the summer program for kindergarten, ensuring engaging and educational experiences for students.
Maintain professional standards with all employees.
Requirement to learn fundamental business knowledge outside of working hours from 2-3 hours a week.
Able to work various shifts (7:30-4:30, 8:30-5:30).
Requirement to work after hours school events – monthly faculty meetings, work related dinners, community events, open houses.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in education or related degree is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in an educational setting.
In-depth understanding of school safety protocols, HR compliance, and program management.
Strong communication and organizational skills, with a detail-oriented approach to record-keeping.
Knowledge of Primrose Balanced Learning Curriculum and classroom standards is a plus.
