Summary:
Our organization, Ogden Weber Community Action Partnership (OWCAP) , is searching for a Disability Specialist to support, coordinate, and ensure high quality and effective services are provided to children and families with disabilities in our program. You will rely on your natural relationship-building skills as you collaborate with other specialists and/or supervisors to ensure appropriate integration of services for families. As our highly detailed Disability Specialist , you will support children and families with disabilities, while also supporting our staff in individualizing services to ensure each family receives the services they need.
What you’ll need to be our Disability Specialist:
Congenial and cooperative with an efficient, precise work ethic
A highly precise worker, with a strong adherence to established guidelines
Detailed and conservative, with a preference for high quality and technical expertise
Bachelor degree in Special Education, Early Childhood Education or related field
Two year’s experience working in disabilities and/or mental health
Experience working with children with special needs or disability services for young children and securing and individualizing needed services for children with disabilities
