The Dishwasher is responsible for cleaning all flatware, glassware, silverware, tools, and equipment needed to provide guests with an excellent dining experience. The Dishwasher also maintains cleanliness in all dish and trash areas and closely follows the directives of the management team to provide excellent guest experiences and ensure performance is aligned with the goals and expectations of Fleet Landing.
Requirements:
Ability to always be on time
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on one’s feet for up to 12 hours in a wet and humid environment
Organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Ability to manage the crisis in a calm and effective manner
Fortitude to effectively receive feedback
Teamwork-oriented and able to take direction
Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
Key Responsibilities & Expectations:
Operates commercial dishwasher and trash dumpster puller
Washes glassware and other implements by hand when necessary
Empties and cleans all trash receptacles
Cleans iced tea dispensers
Rotates dishes to reduce wear and tear on resources
Cleans dish storage areas
Follows sanitation policies at all times
Provides assistance to prep cook and other kitchen staff as needed, especially during peak times
Performs opening, closing, and side work as directed
Cleans up spills or broken glassware immediately
Reports any sanitation or janitorial issues to appropriate party
Cleans up messes in any area of the restaurant throughout shift
