Position Summary: Dishwasher
It is the primary responsibility of the dishwasher to perform a variety of janitorial duties and maintain cleanliness of assigned areas. All duties are to be performed in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Essential Functions and Tasks:
- Sweeps and mops kitchen floors.
- Scrubs walls and trashcans.
- Picks up trash in kitchen and removes to dock area.
- Performs all other job-related duties as requested.
Required:
- Ability to take initiative and exhibit flexibility.
- Ability to operate dish machines.
- Possess a highly motivated and energetic personality.
- Excellent guest service skills.
- Have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and oral forms.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 55 pounds.
Preferred:
- At least one year of related kitchen experience.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a similar setting.
