    Position Description & Duties:

    The foremost responsibility of dishwashers is to ensure that all equipment and small wares are washed and stored properly. Checking the dish machine’s chemical levels and draining dirty water is required to ensure clean tools. All dishes, eating utensils, cups, pots, pans and small equipment need to be cleaned and sanitized entirely, as well as placing said items in their designated area. Each Dishwasher is to maintain the dish room and dish machine properly and report any mechanical defects immediately.

    Dishwashers are to assist cooks when needed. This can include: completing daily closing tasks; fetching items from dry storage, freezer, and refrigerator; after being taught by a cook/chef, assist in completing food prep; unpack and place in proper storage areas all deliveries of food and supplies; or any other task as needed by manager or lead cook.

    Prerequisites:

    Education: High school degree preferred.

    Experience: Entry-level position.

    Physical: Subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and loud noise. Must be able to bend, stoop, lift, and carry weights up to 50 pounds or more on a regular and continuing basis. Must be able to stand for long periods of time and move quickly. Must be able to reach, bend, and stoop, frequently. Each dishwasher must have a high degree of dexterity with hands and be agile while moving items.
