JOB STATEMENT/PURPOSE: The primary function of the Dishwasher is to assist the restaurant staff with dishwashing support services, clean tables, dining area, and clean up after customers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist the kitchen staff as needed
Clean all dishes, pots, utensils, silverware from the restaurant
Put away the dishes and all equipment used
Take out the garbage
Provide prompt, courteous, and professional service to customers
Clear away dishes, glassware and utensils after each customer. (Bus Tables)
Assist wait staff with refilling customers water and beverage glasses
Sweep and vacuum dining area as needed, maintaining a clean and professional appearance at all times
Provide excellent customer service – take telephone orders – suggestive selling
Communicate with other staff regarding needs of customers
JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Municipal Food Worker Card
Some experience in customer service helpful but not required
Must be able to stand for long periods of time and constant use of hands, arms, eyes and voice
Must work as a team player
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow safe and proper procedures in the course of daily work
Perform opening and closing duties as appropriate
Arrive on time and demonstrate effective time management
Other tasks and duties based on the needs of the business
