Dishwasher/Utility $10-15.00
As a Dishwasher General Utility, you will be responsible for maintaining kitchen work areas, equipment, plate ware and utensils in a clean, sanitary and orderly condition while assisting in food preparation procedures. Duties of this position will include setting up, using, and maintaining the mechanical dishwasher for the duration of the shift, keeping the food line stocked with clean plates, and multiple cleaning and sanitation tasks at the end of the shift, including work area and restrooms. A qualified applicant must be able to lift 25-50 pounds, stand for long periods of time and move from place to place in the kitchen when necessary. Additionally, as a member of the Kitchen Team, you will cross-train and learn other stations and positions in the Kitchen.
Responsibilities:
Wash and Clean: Clean tableware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment.
Organize: Maintain a clean and organized dish room and kitchen equipment.
Work at a Fast Pace: Keep up with the fast pace of the restaurant and kitchen team.
Assist with Kitchen Duties: Occasionally reset tables, help unload delivery trucks, and assist with cleaning cook stations and kitchen appliances.
Follow Food Safety Procedures: Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
Weekend and Holiday Shifts: Availability for some shifts on weekends and holidays.
Qualifications:
Minimal Experience: Prior experience as a dishwasher is preferred but not required.
Proficient in Dish Handling: Ability to operate with different types of dishes and kitchen equipment.
Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with and adherence to food safety procedures.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Communication Skills: Must have good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Time Management: Strong ability to prioritize tasks in a busy kitchen environment.
