Dispatcher – Join Pittsburgh Transportation Group and Make a Difference!

Company Description: Pittsburgh Transportation Group is on the lookout for a part-time Dispatcher to join our Shuttle Transportation division. This role is all about ensuring our shuttle services run smoothly and efficiently, making a real impact on our customers’ daily lives.

Shift:

• Part-time: Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Position Summary: As a Dispatcher, you’ll be the backbone of our shuttle operations, supervising drivers, buses, and services on-site to ensure everything runs like clockwork.

Key Responsibilities as Dispatcher:

• Coordinate Services: Oversee the coordination of transportation services to ensure efficient operation.
• Assist On-Site: Help drivers and passengers with any questions or concerns.
• Customer Experience: Ensure a safe, positive, and friendly experience for all customers.
• Effective Communication: Report any service delays or disruptions to dispatch promptly.
• Incident Response: Quickly respond to accidents, breakdowns, or other incidents affecting service.
• Additional Duties: Perform any other tasks as assigned to keep operations running smoothly.

Qualifications as a Dispatcher:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory or dispatch experience, or equivalent management experience.

Skills & Abilities as a Dispatcher:

• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions.
• Proficient in using push-to-talk devices.
• Comfortable using an electronic tablet.

Certificates & Licenses:

• Valid driver’s license required.
• CDL with Passenger endorsement preferred.
