Job Description
The District Maintenance Manager (DMM) is responsible for planning, organizing, and managing the maintenance, repair, and modification of existing Chuze facilities within their assigned district, serving as the primary representative for all facilities and maintenance needs. The role involves approximately 40% hands-on tools work and 60% management and administrative duties. The DMM is crucial in delivering an exceptional experience to Chuze members by overseeing a team of maintenance technicians (MT) and vendor partners. They act as the main point of contact for property, facilities, amenities, and fitness equipment matters in their market.
- Maintain the integrity of all facilities and amenities, ensuring proper maintenance and repairs and a safe, clean interior and exterior, including fire risers, electrical rooms, janitor closets, roofs, parking lots, etc.
- Research new products, laws and regulations, and safety measures to recommend purchases, contracts, and maintenance of district-wide services
- Implement and maintain maintenance plans, services, and programs, including emergency response plans, energy management plans, annual budget planning, training, and execution of capital initiatives
- Conduct weekly club visits throughout the district to build strong working relationships with MTs and contractors
- Assist in managing annual CAPX and expense budgets with a focus on rolling 5-year CAPX planning
- Use CMMS and EMS to manage work orders from initiation to completion, assign tasks, collect quotes, generate reports, and ensure timely completion for maximum efficiency
- Review and submit payroll, mileage logs, PTO, invoices, and expense reports for your team to ensure accuracy and appropriate spending
- Attend regularly scheduled district, region, and company-wide meetings, preparing presentation materials as needed
- Be available on-call to respond to after-hours and weekend emergencies and provide coverage for the team during PTO or when sourcing new technicians
- Recruit and onboard new talent to build a strong facilities team
- Provide on-the-spot feedback, verbal and written coaching, annual performance reviews, and deliver the full scope
of corrective actions and separations, partnering with Regional Directors and HR for guidance in escalated
personnel concerns as needed
